The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has recently selected Federal Premium ammunition for multiple firearms platforms, including 45 Auto, 308 Win, and 12-gauge duty requirements. The contract, with up to seven option years, will begin delivery immediately, with the LAPD servicing the department through regional distribution.

The company says Tactical HST offers consistent expansion and optimum penetration for terminal performance in 45 Auto, Federal Gold Medal 308 Win will serve marksmen, and 12-gauge Tactical Buckshot transforms the most basic police shotgun into a precision shooting tool.
The LAPD is an organization of approximately 13,000 sworn and civilian employees. The City of Los Angeles is 468 square miles operating the third-largest municipal police department in the United States which serves an estimated population of over 4 million people.
