Ohio Officer Stabbed in the Neck in June Returns to Full Duty

An officer with the Sugarcreek (OH) Police Department who was stabbed in the neck in late June has now returned to full duty.

An officer with the Sugarcreek (OH) Police Department who was stabbed in the neck in late June has now returned to full duty.

According to ABC News, Captain Brian Dalton had been on light duty since early July but has now resumed his originally assigned duties.

Dalton had responded to a report of property damage when 32-year-old Elijah Collins attacked him with an edged weapon.

The 37-year-old officer suffered a wound to his neck and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The offender was shot and killed at the scene.
