Pennsylvania Police Chief Dies Suddenly

Police Chief Steven Hillias of the Perkasie Borough Police Department died suddenly on Sunday. The Lehigh Valley Coroner's office said Hillias died of natural causes.

Officers with the Perkasie Borough (PA) Police Department are mourning the sudden death of their chief of police over the weekend.

The agency said on Facebook, "It is with great sadness and regret that we share that Police Chief Steven Hillias of the Perkasie Borough Police Department passed away suddenly today June 16, 2019. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time."

The Lehigh Valley Coroner's office said Hillias died of natural causes—further details were not released.
