When an officer with the Lynn Haven (FL) Police Department came upon a mother and her three children in a broken down car at a local fast food restaurant and discovered that the hungry family didn't have enough money to buy a meal, she opened her wallet and bought them dinner.

According to Fox News, Officer Mikayla Edwards also let the kids sit in her car and play with the siren.

Officer Edwards told News Herald, "People think all we want to do is just put people in jail, which really isn't the case. We really do want to get out and help people and better the community."
