Officers with the Chandler (AZ) Police Department responding to a domestic violence call came under attack by a man at the residence on Saturday, police say.
According to ABC News, the suspect—identified as 38-year-old Erin Grant—reportedly charged officers when they attempted to speak with him about the alleged crime.
A struggle ensued in which one of the officers attempted to deploy an ECD, but that tactic was unsuccessful and the fight continued until a third officer applied a choke hold on Grant, temporarily rendering him unconscious, police say.
All three officers were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated and released.
Grant was booked into jail on three counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, six counts of resisting arrest, three counts of disorderly conduct, and one count of criminal damage.
