A photojournalist for Fox news station KSAZ in Phoenix rode in this year's Police Unity Tour bicycle ride to Washington, DC, in honor of Arizona DPS Trooper Tyler Edenhofer, who was killed in the line of duty in 2018 at the age of 24.

This was Davis' second year participating in the Police Unity Tour to honor fallen officers. Last year he rode in honor of his father, Phoenix Officer John R. Davis Sr., who died in 1982 along with his partner. Both of their names are on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. Davis was inspired by Phoenix officers who had ridden in honor of his father in the past and decided to join the Police Unity Tour himself.

"It's a life-changing experience," Davis told his colleagues. He says he plans to participate in the event every year he can from now on.
