Police Identify Man Who Broke NYPD Officer's Leg During Pursuit

Police in New York are looking for a 48-year-old man—identified as Lincoln George—who reportedly broke an officer's leg before fleeing on foot.

Police in New York are looking for a 48-year-old man—identified as Lincoln George—who reportedly broke an officer's leg before fleeing on foot.

According to WPIX-TV, police had responded to a reported larceny theft at a drug store on the upper West side of Manhattan over the weekend. Upon making contact with George, he assaulted officers. 

The injured officer was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released.

George—described to be 5-feet 11-inches and 170 pounds—remains at large.
