An officer with the Chicago Police Department was found dead on Sunday with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to ABC News, the officer—identified as 44-year-old Eric Concialdi—was found in his West Side home in the early afternoon.

If death by suicide is confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, it would be the third CPD officer to die by suicide in 2019.
