Iesha Roper-Boswel posted video of the interaction between the kids and Officer C.B. Fleming on Facebook, and it quickly went viral with more than 45,000 views in the span of just a few days.

Roper-Boswel said in the post, "A false alarm gas leak turned into a full out play session in Mecklenburg Manor today! We definitely need more cops like him!!! Thanks for taking the time out to play with the kids!"

According to WTVR, the 28-year-old mother said she believed her daughter and other children in the community have found a superhero in Fleming, the 42-year-old South Hill Police corporal.

"He's awesome. That's the only word you can really use to describe C.B.," she said. "It's just amazing, the bond he has with the children."

Roper-Boswell said she believed Fleming's genuine interest in the children and her neighbors came through in the images she shared.
