Two Rhode Island strippers are accused of stealing a handgun from an off-duty officer with the Boston Police Department while he was "hanging out" with them in a hotel room.

Pawtucket police said that 22-year-old Melissa Dacier and 25-year-old Neish Rivera were arrested and the officer's service weapon recovered several hours after he'd reported it stolen.

The encounter was allegedly arranged when the officer and one of the women exchanged messages on Instagram, and agreed to meet at a hotel bar.

The officer then reportedly went with one of the women to a strip club where they met with the second female reportedly involved.

The three subsequently went to a local hotel.

According to the Providence Journal, the BPD officer called police around 0300 hours to report his sidearm was missing after the women left his room.
