New York Officer Pinned Between Cars Shoots, Wounds Suspect

According to ABC-News, the 24-year-old officer—who opened fire after the driver of an allegedly carjacked vehicle suddenly began to drive in reverse, pinning the officer between two vehicles—is hospitalized with injuries to her hip, leg, and pelvis.

An officer with the New York Police Department was seriously injured after being pinned between two vehicles on Monday.

According to ABC-News, the 24-year-old officer—who opened fire after the driver of an allegedly carjacked vehicle suddenly began to drive in reverse, pinning the officer between two vehicles—is hospitalized with injuries to her hip, leg, and pelvis.

After the vehicular attack, the officer opened fire, reportedly striking the female driver of the vehicle.

The suspect—said to be a teenager—is reportedly in critical but stable condition at a nearby hospital.

Three suspects were reportedly taken into custody.
