Missouri Officer Struck by Vehicle Sustains Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

An officer with the St. Louis County (MO) Police Department sustained substantial bruises and abrasions but no broken bones when a motorist struck him on a freeway overpass.

An officer with the St. Louis County (MO) Police Department sustained substantial bruises and abrasions but no broken bones when a motorist struck him on a freeway overpass.

The officer had stopped to assist another motorist who had slid into a guardrail, when a passing pickup struck the car the officer was assisting, clipping the officer in the process.

According to Fox News, the driver of the pickup was cited for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
