Florida Deputy Injured, 94-Year-Old Man Killed in Vehicle Collision

Deputy Brian Wiedel suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a nearby hospital.

A 94-year-old driver reportedly tried to make a U-turn in his Lincoln Continental when he collided with a Collier County Sheriff's Deputy's patrol vehicle traveling with lights and siren activated.

According to NBC News, the deputy tried to swerve out of the way but ended up hitting the Lincoln.

The driver of the Lincoln—identified as Arthur Roshask—died at the hospital.

Deputy Brian Wiedel suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a nearby hospital.

Roshask's passenger—identified as 80-year-old Luan Callery—was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
