Georgia Officer Grazed by Gunfire at Domestic Violence Call

An officer with the DeKalb County (GA) Police Department is in stable condition after he was wounded in a shooting that occurred at a domestic violence call.

An officer with the DeKalb County (GA) Police Department is in stable condition after he was wounded in a shooting that occurred at a domestic violence call.

The incident began as a standoff with the armed man who had held a woman inside the residence at gunpoint. When shots rang out, officers made entry to the home, where gunfire continued.

According to Fox News, police found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

The unidentified officer was reportedly grazed by a bullet from by another officer's gun. The officer was treated at a nearby hospital and subsequently released.
