An officer with the Tampa (FL) Police Department who had been accused of sexually battering a woman he pulled over in a traffic stop in 2016 won't be criminally prosecuted, according to TampaBay.com.

A Hillsborough County State Attorney's office spokeswoman confirmed that an investigation concluded that Adam York, a 13-year veteran of the department, did not inappropriately touch a female during a traffic stop in 2016.

York had stopped the woman for speeding. During the stop, the female driver reportedly got out of her car several times, behaving erratically.

York's attorney, Rick Escobar, had called the allegations against his client "bizarre" and the case "outrageous."
