Kentucky Police Arrest Man Accused of Punching Off-Duty Officer

A 39-year-old man now faces multiple charges—third degree assault, disorderly conduct, menacing, and resisting arrest—after he reportedly punched an off-duty Lexington officer who was responding to a disturbance taking place near him.

According to police, Christopher Davis was harassing staff at a local transit center on Saturday morning when the nearby off-duty officer approached him. Davis then threw a punch at the officer before fleeing on foot.

Responding on-duty officers quickly found Davis and took him into custody.

Police say the officer who was punched was not seriously injured.
