MPH Industries has announced its Ranger radar traffic unit. This traffic radar system can measure the distance of a vehicle and the speed of a vehicle as well as monitor the area behind a patrol vehicle using a feature called SafetyZone. This feature can alert the driver of a patrol car to any vehicles behind them that are driving above the speed limit. The Ranger unit uses the Doppler principle as well as a microwave beam and laser.
