Designed specifically for public safety mobile applications, Trooper II is compatible with GPS systems, radar, radios, and magnetic card readers. This on-board system runs on Microsoft Windows and comes ready for mounting.

Palomar’s mobile system is designed to handle the most demanding applications. The sunlight-readable PowerShield 2.0 display shuts down Windows when necessary to maintain vehicle battery and power requirements. User-programmable, PowerShield 2.0 allows for individual system requirements. Designed to withstand heat, shock, and vibration, Trooper II’s compact, open metal structure allows for future hardware and software upgrades.

It’s also easy to use because it utilizes off-the-shelf products and is compatible with a variety of accessories. The Trooper II system even comes with a detached keyboard lighted for night-time use.

The Trooper II operates at 7 to 16 VD at 2 to 3 amps, depending upon options, and offers over/under/reverse power protection safeguarding system components to protect against severe power conditions.

Palomar’s display terminal is air-bag friendly and offers 12.1-inch SVGA resolution. The display also comes with a 3-track magnetic strip card reader, optional direct-composite video input compabilities, and local area network options up to 11MB for wireless connections to Ethernet LAN. It requires 7 to 16 VDC at 3 amps.
