Whelen Engineering Company, Inc. debuts its FastTrax®, an integral warning system for Ford Crown Victoria police cruisers. The FastTrax system comes in both roofline, forward-facing and under-roofline, rear-facing spoiler configurations.

The unobtrusive system is said to provide powerful strobe warning protection to law enforcement vehicles, without the need for conventional top-mounted light bars. There is reportedly no wind or air drag. The FastTrax features include a control head that offers a four-position slide switch and six push-button switches for secondary warning signal functions. Each lamp filter is available in all five safety colors. Halogen flashers are optional.
