TASER International recently introduced its new Advanced Taser M26. The M26 is the first in a new class of Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) less-lethal weapons that stop extremely aggressive, focused and trained combatants. The Advanced Taser directly stimulates the motor nerve and muscle tissue, causing incapacitation regardless of mental focus, training, size, or drug-induced dementia. Moreover, the Advanced Taser now provides and improved range of 21 feet, and can penetrate up to two inches of clothing.
Prior to the launch of the M-Series, over 60 volunteers from SWAT teams, military special forces and police agencies were hit with the Advanced Taser M-26 with a 100 percent incapacitation rate. Each individual was immobilized in less than 1/2 second.
