2 New York Officers Narrowly Avoid Head-on Collision with Drunk Driver

According to WHAM-TV News, two officers with the Perry (NY) Police Department narrowly avoided being involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver last weekend.

According to WHAM-TV News, two officers with the Perry (NY) Police Department narrowly avoided being involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver last weekend.

In an effort to avoid the collision, the officer left the roadway, police said.

Police said that after the officer driving the squad car regained control of the car, he performed a traffic stop on the car.

It was at this point that officers determined that 28-year-old Matthew Beaumont of Castile had been driving with almost twice the legal limit of a BAC of .15 percent.

Beaumont was charged with DWI.

The officers were reportedly uninjured.
