New Jersey Officer Convicted in Fatal 2015 Hit-and-Run Incident

An officer with the Paterson (NJ) Police Department has been found guilty by a jury for fatally striking 23-year-old Jaquill Fields with his car and fleeing the scene.

An officer with the Paterson (NJ) Police Department has been found guilty by a jury for fatally striking 23-year-old JaQuill Fields with his car and fleeing the scene.

Officer Jose Urena was off duty at the time of the June 2015 incident that left Fields dead.

Urena was suspended without pay following his arrest. He faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 7, reports NorthJersey.com
