Massachusetts Officers Treated for Opioid Exposure After Responding to Fatal Overdose

Two Sterling, MA, Police officers and one Massachusetts State Police trooper were treated for opioid exposure after responding to a fatal overdose on Friday.

Two Sterling, MA, Police officers and one Massachusetts State Police trooper were treated for opioid exposure after responding to a fatal overdose on Friday, according to MassLive.com.

While investigating, two Sterling Police officers and one state trooper began showing signs of possible fentanyl exposure.

"The officers and trooper all described feeling dizzy and nauseous with a tingling sensation," the Sterling Fire Department said in a statement.

All three were transported to a nearby hospital and treated and released.
