An Off-duty police officer with the Lakewood (WA) Police Department was arrested in late September after he reportedly crashed his patrol vehicle while intoxicated.

An Off-duty police officer with the Lakewood (WA) Police Department was arrested in late September after he reportedly crashed his patrol vehicle while intoxicated.

Officer Eric Bell was arrested and released the same day after the single-vehicle crash, according to KOMO-TV News.

John Unfred—an assistant chief with the Lakewood Police Department—said that ell was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Unfred also said that the unmarked police vehicle Bell was driving was a total loss.
