Anthony Guglielmi—Chief Communications Officer for the Chicago Police Department—said in a Tweet that "Englewood officers @ChicagoCAPS07 demonstrated incredible professionalism and restraint after being struck by a 2x4, locked inside a home and physically assaulted following the attempted arrest of a woman who spit on them. 3 people are now arrested and charged."

Senneca Traylor was charged with four counts of aggravated battery to a police officer and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, according to reports. Janice Lewis was charged with one count of aggravated battery to an officer. Robert Williams was charged with two counts of unlawful restraint and one count of resisting or obstructing a police officer, police said.
