Police are investigating an officer who reportedly failed to respond to a man-with-a-gun call.

An off-duty firefighter and two civilians saw the armed man in the early hours of July 6. They called 911 and, fearing that the man might shoot them, left the area.

They came upon an officer in her squad car shortly thereafter, flagged her down, and told her about the man.

Her response, according to the Baltimore Sun, was, "This is not my district."

"The report comes just days after USA Today published an article that reviewed three years of city dispatch reports and found a decline in the number of reports of criminal activity that were witnessed by officers," the Sun said.
