Envisage Acquires VaultRMS, Adds Exposure Tracker to First Responder Solutions

Exposure Tracker is a cloud-based software service that allows first responders to document and access data related to exposure to toxic materials, carcinogens, and other harmful substances on any internet-connected device.

Envisage Technologies has announced its acquisition of the California-based company, VaultRMS, and the addition of the Exposure Tracker product to Envisage’s growing list of technology solutions built specifically for our nation’s first responders. The addition of Exposure Tracker will further Envisage’s founding vision of improving the readiness and safety of our nation’s first responder communities, the company says.

Exposure Tracker is a cloud-based software service that allows first responders to document and access data related to exposure to toxic materials, carcinogens, and other harmful substances on any internet-connected device. The service has made the GovTech 100 list the last two years, for being one of the most innovative new technologies in government technology. Exposure Tracker includes a full suite of unlimited reporting options for both individuals and agencies, and unlimited storage of exposure information. Hosted on a secure server, encrypted exposure information may be accessed using two-factor authentication, which provides robust protection of the confidentiality of this sensitive information. Envisage plans to offer Exposure Tracker via its FirstForward training network as one of the many no-cost tools provided by the platform.

Chris Memmott founded VaultRMS in 2013 as a cloud-based platform for public safety agencies.  In 2014, fire service veteran Clive Savacool joined VaultRMS and, in partnership with the International Firefighter Cancer Foundation, San Francisco Firefighter Cancer Prevention Foundation, and the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance, helped Memmott launch the Exposure Tracker platform.  A native of California, Savacool was among the youngest chiefs in Contra Costa County Fire Protection District history, an area known for its high call frequency.  After nearly 20 years in the fire service, however, Savacool left the department due to a chronic lung condition. Because of this firsthand experience, the development of Exposure Tracker was, in large part, a means to help his brothers and sisters in the fire service and greater public safety community avoid similar fates.  Both Memmott and Savacool will continue to support Exposure Tracker and provide solutions to the fire service and other first responder industries by joining the Envisage team.

“From day one our mission has been to support as many first responders as possible by tracking accurate data in relation to the toxic exposures they receive throughout their career,” said Chris Memmott, VaultRMS Founder and CEO. “By teaming with Envisage, we now have the resources to provide every first responder with Exposure Tracker via FirstForward at no cost. This acquisition is a big win for all of our stakeholders, especially the brave men and women who we’re proud to serve.”

Envisage Technologies, founded in 2001 by Ari Vidali, provides solutions that automate the complex training operations for first responders with a core mission to improve the readiness of our nation’s public safety professionals. The company’s Acadis Readiness Suite training and compliance software platform is our nation’s most widely adopted training management system for public safety. Trusted by numerous agencies within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and 23 statewide training commissions, Envisage provides training solutions to over 1.5 million first responders.

“At Envisage, we are passionate about innovation that can save lives. The rates of cancer and other severe exposure-related illness for our first responders are through the roof. It is a tragedy that we all have an obligation to do something about,” said Ari Vidali, Envisage Founder and CEO. “Our goal is to provide every first responder with a portable training record and an easy way to track exposure. In combination, we not only support long-term health planning but ensure that our first responders receive the education they need to minimize their exposure risks.”
