First Annual K-9 Memorial Service Held in DC

As part of Police Week this year, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund held the 1st Annual Police K-9 Memorial Service at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC.

As part of Police Week this year, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund held the 1st Annual Police K-9 Memorial Service at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC Friday. The ceremony included laying down 24 roses for the 24 K-9s killed in the line of duty in 2017. The memorial service was attended by police chiefs and K-9 handlers, FBI agents, and dignitaries from around the nation.

The ceremony was co-hosted by the National Police Dog Foundation, Fraternal Order of Police DC Lodge #1, LA Rescued, and United for Blue.
