Firearm and trigger manufacturer Franklin Armory recently purchased Osprey Defense for its uniquely designed piston systems and accessories for the AR platform. The seller in this transaction, Ark Defense, presented the opportunity at SHOT Show this past January, and Franklin Armory jumped at the chance to acquire the well designed, patented products.

Lee Tolleson, CEO and President of Ark Defense (the parent company of Osprey Defense), said, "With their company structure, innovative products, and stellar reputation, I can think of no better company than Franklin Armory to take the Osprey Defense products to the next level."

Jay Jacobson, President of Franklin Armory, stated, "I'm excited to add this exceptional product line to our stable of proprietary accessories serving the firearms industry. We have already initiated the expansion of the excellent product offerings from Osprey Defense and look forward to introducing newly adapted patentable products by the end of the year." The all-cash transaction included the patent and existing inventory. All future operations will be conducted from the Franklin Armory facilities in Minden, Nevada, and the company anticipates completing the move to Minden and making existing Osprey Defense OPS-416 piston kits available sometime in quarter 3 of this year.

Franklin Armory is a manufacturer of AR-style firearms and accessories. The company focuses on proprietary products including the BFS series of triggers and F-17 AR-style hunting rifles. For more information, visit https://www.franklinarmory.com.
