An officer with the Detroit Police Department died off duty early Friday after suffering from a medical condition.

An officer with the Detroit Police Department died off duty early Friday after suffering from a medical condition.

The officer has not been identified.

But his fellow officers tell 7 Action News that he was with the eighth precinct and had been with the department for more than 15 years.
