Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto today swore in Scott Schubert to a permanent police chief role and promoted several others to high-ranking roles in city public safety offices.

Chief Schubert, 50, had been serving as acting police chief since former Chief Cameron McLay left the bureau this fall, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
