Ohio Officers Pay for Funeral of 5-Year-Old Allegedly Beaten to Death by Mother, Friends

Police said Alexander Stephens and his 6-year-old brother were beaten for hours by their mother and her two friends as punishment.

A 5-year old Middletown, OH, boy, who police say was beaten to death by his mother and two of her friends, will have a proper funeral, thanks to the Middletown Police Department.

Police said Alexander Stephens and his 6-year-old brother were beaten for hours by their mother and her two friends as punishment.

The police department, along with other community members, have decided to fund Alexander's funeral.

"A lot of people in their heroic efforts have been touched by his life and touched by this tragedy," Middletown Police Chaplain Lamar Ferrell told WXIX TV.
