LEID Products Granted Patent for Biometrics Management System

LEID's BACS Asset Management System eliminates potential liability while reducing the negative cost repercussions of human error in asset management. Its technology powers security, control, safety, accountability, and reliability in reporting.

LEID Products, a maker of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark office has issued a patent on LEID's Biometric Access Control System (BACS).

This is the third patent for the BACS, and unlike the previous patent it encompasses the exclusive interaction of technologies that make up the system. It encompasses the entire system of biometric access, equipment identification, and use interface, making LEID BACS the only storage system that closes the accountability loop between user access and equipment return.

LEID's BACS Asset Management System eliminates potential liability while reducing the negative cost repercussions of human error in asset management. Its technology powers security, control, safety, accountability, and reliability in reporting.

BACS consists of customized configurations of LEID Products SmartRail Gun Rack, Electronic Access Cabinets, Key Cabinets, Electronic Modular Access Units, and SMARTGUARD Handgun Safes. Access to assets stored in the system is managed and configured from the central BACS ID Station Kiosk, where an adminitrator can enroll users, manage access permissions, view logs for tracking and ensure proper maintenance and accessibility.
