A Toms River, NJ, man who was appearing in traffic court Thursday was arrested after officers found his car illegally parked at the police station with marijuana inside, authorities said.

Felix Suliveres, 26, admitted he smoked marijuana about a half hour before his hearing, according to the Palisades Interstate Parkway (NJ) Police Department. He told officers he only gives away the drug and doesn't sell it, reports nj.com.

PIP Police Officers Gregory Kimbro and Timothy Conboy saw Suliveres' white Subaru parked illegally at the department's Alpine headquarters and court, police said in a statement. Officers also noticed a metal grinder on the front passenger seat and marijuana residue in the vehicle.

Officers found Suliveres in court and smelled marijuana on him, police added. A search of his car turned up a canvas bag containing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
