The suspect is identified as 27-year-old Grover Cannon. Cannon was already wanted for attempted second-degree murder, KSLA TV reports. He is accused of shooting 45-year-old Darren Williams back on July 15. Cannon is now facing charges of first-degree murder.

Multiple tips sent to Shreveport police suggested Cannon was in the 3800 block of Jackson Street. Police shut the road down and began an ultimately successful search.
