VIDEO: CNN Anchor Slammed for "Weak" Apology After Calling Dallas Gunman "Brave"

Sunday CNN weekend anchor Fredricka Whitfield apologized for what she said Saturday concerning the attack on Dallas Police Department headquarters.

“Yesterday, during a segment on the Dallas Police Department attack, I used the words courageous and brave when discussing the gunman,” she said. “I misspoke and in no way believe the gunman was courageous nor brave.”

But that apology isn’t sitting well with the Dallas Police Association, which issued a statement Monday morning that says it wasn’t much of an apology at all, the Dallas Morning News reports.
