After more than 24 hours of searching for Najee Harmon, police found him hiding in a house. Milwaukee Police say they took the 20-year-old into custody for shooting a Wauwatosa, Wis., detective, reports TMJ4.

"Harmon was arrested without incident," says Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn. "Neither the suspect nor the officers involved in the investigation were injured. Harmon is currently in Milwaukee Police custody."

It's the end to what all started near 60th Street and Good Hope Road. Wauwatosa Police were following up on a burglary. When officers approached Harmon, he opened fire, shooting a 52-year-old detective below the waist. Harmon then ran off.

Flynn explained that a K-9 found him in the basement of a home. Police say Harmon has a criminal past. He was convicted of battery in 2011. In 2012, while still on probation, he was charged with theft.

The detective who was shot is in the hospital in serious condition.
