FLEOA Honors Fallen Deputy U.S. Marshal Josie Wells

Today, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association announced its heartfelt prayers and sorrow for the family of Deputy U.S. Marshal Josie Wells, who was fatally wounded while he and his team were in pursuit of a homicidal fugitive.

Today, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) announced its heartfelt prayers and sorrow for the family of fallen hero Deputy U.S. Marshal Josie Wells. Deputy Wells was fatally wounded while he and his team were in pursuit of a homicidal fugitive.

"We will always remember and honor the indomitable will of Deputy U.S. Marshal Wells, for his heroic sacrifice and his unwavering commitment to protecting the American citizenry," stated Jon Adler, FLEOA National President. "The profound loss of our brother is beyond measure, but his willingness to risk his own life in the pursuit of homicidal maniacs is his legacy to all of us. We are all now duty‐bound to bow our heads and pay tribute to a man of honor, and always remember and respect his ultimate sacrifice."

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association and its Foundation have pledged their full support for Wells' family and teammates.
