Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) has taken its standard direct impingement rifle, The Olde School, and added a twist of innovation by replacing the standard stainless steel gas tube with a straight Inconel gas tube.

The Olde School is a direct impingement rifle offered in either a .223/5.56 or .308/7.62X51 configuration. It features the standard elements of the company's Generation 4 series rifles, including the E² chamber and completely ambidextrous lower receiver. The addition of the straight Inconel gas tube increases reliability by nearly doubling the heat that the gas tube can sustain without rupture.

The Olde School features an adjustable gas system. POF-USA has taken its 3 position adjustable gas piston system and incorporated the adjustability into this direct impingement rifle. Users now have the ability to regulate the gas for certain ammunition selection or the addition of a suppressor.
