Emergency crews are still searching for a Travis County (Texas) Sheriff's Office deputy who disappeared near the Colorado River. Officials say the deputy was checking low water crossings when her car was swept away by water, reports KVUE.
Officials said the deputy reported around 1:52 a.m. Thursday that her car was being swept away in Austin on Fritz Hughes Park Road near the Colorado River south of Mansfield Dam.
Search crews located the deputy's car, but are still searching for the deputy. The sheriff's office did not release the deputy's name but said she has been with the office for seven years.
