Texas Officer Dies from Crash Injuries

The accident happened Thursday afternoon on west Highway 287 in Midlothian. Officer Phares was driving home from a special assignment with the local school district and rear ended a big rig that was carrying steel.

A Texas officer who was critically injured in a crash last week has died from her injuries.

The Midlothian Police Department told MyFoxDFW that Officer Heather Phares passed away at about 9:45 a.m. Monday.

The accident happened Thursday afternoon on west Highway 287 in Midlothian. Officer Phares was driving home from a special assignment with the local school district and rear ended a big rig that was carrying steel.
