Maryland Officers Shoot, Kill Man Wielding "Assault Rifle" Pellet Gun

Once on scene the officers encountered two men outside an apartment building. One of the men appeared to be armed with an assault rifle.

A man holding a pellet gun that looked like an assault rifle was shot and killed by Suitland, Md., police Friday morning.

Julie Parker, Director of Media Relations for the Prince George's County Police Department, told WUSA TV two veteran officers responded to a call for a dispute in the 3300 block of Curtis Drive near Overlook Elementary School around 2:15 Friday morning.
