Police in Moncton, Canada, say finding and arresting a heavily armed man is their "top priority" after three RCMP officers were killed and two were wounded in shootings Wednesday night, reports the CBC.

Cpl. Chantal Farrah made the comment during a news conference on the manhunt for the suspected shooter, Justin Bourque, 24, in the southeastern New Brunswick city.

Earlier in the day, police cleared a building they had surrounded as part of the search for Bourque.

The news conference is the latest development in the manhunt that started on Wednesday evening and involves up to 300 police personnel from across the country.
