In August, the sculpture was installed in Patriots and Heroes Sculpture Park in Williamsville, N.Y., to honor lives lost in the line of duty.

Upon delivery of the sculpture Patriots and Heroes Park employee stated, "This is a place where law enforcement can come and know that this blessed saint will be watching over them- and thanking them for their service." Over 100 law enforcement officials attended the dedication ceremony where the sculpture was first revealed. Guests were touched to learn the amount of time, effort and detail went in to creating the St. Michael sculpture.

European trained sculptors fabricated several small study models to achieve correct details and proportion before beginning the 18 foot tall St. Michael statue. The figure was initially sculpted in clay and used to make a rubber mold. This mold was then filled with a plaster-based travertine mix. This unique material allows the sculpture to have the look and feel of stone with less weight and with durability that will allow it to last for years to come.  Buffalo Architectural Casting is honored to have created a meaningful piece and help preserve the legacy of servicemen and women lost in the line of duty.
