Three gun-toting suspects who persisted in carjacking an off-duty cop in Brooklyn even after she identified herself have been rounded up, police told the New York Daily News Friday.

The 36-year-old officer was getting into her car at 5:15 a.m. Thursday when Patrick James, 22, and an unidentified culprit forced her into the back seat, according to police. She managed to slip out of the car and run past another unidentified man, leaving her handbag with her NYPD shield behind. The men grabbed the bag, dumped the car and fled in a stolen yellow taxi.
