The San Antonio Police Department has established a fund for Officer Bobby Deckard, who police said was shot in the head Sunday by armed robbery suspects he was pursuing.

The San Antonio Police Department has established a fund for Officer Bobby Deckard, who police said was shot in the head Sunday by armed robbery suspects he was pursuing, the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Deckard, a seven-year veteran of the force, remains in critical but stable condition at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. The police department Thursday morning reported no change in his condition.

Generations Federal Credit Union is administering the fund, named the Robert Deckard Fund.
