Two men were arrested on Saturday for allegedly impersonating Dallas police officers to gain access to a residence they planned to burglarize.

Mario Rosales-Varianos and Jesus Huerta-Trujilo were arrested at the Solana Ridge apartment complex on the 8000 block of Chariot Drive in Dallas on Feb. 22, WFAA reports.

According to an arrest affidavit, Anabella Availez returned home from her mother’s residence with Luis Vazquez when Rosales-Varianos started banging on the door and yelling, “Open up it’s the police. Open the door now.”

Availez walked toward the door to open it, but Vazquez stopped her. The document says he saw both men standing outside and neither man was in uniform.
