N.Y. Bridge Named for Fallen Trooper

The name of fallen New York State Trooper Kevin Dobson, who lost his life when he was struck by a motorist while conducting a traffic stop on the I-290 in March 2011, will soon grace a portion of the busy highway.

The name of fallen New York State Police Trooper Kevin Dobson, who lost his life when he was struck by a motorist while conducting a traffic stop on the I-290 in March 2011, will soon grace a portion of the busy highway.

Signs will go up designating the I-290 bridge at the Colvin Boulevard exit as the "New York State Trooper Kevin P. Dobson, Sr. Memorial Bridge." The naming legislation passed both houses of the state legislature and was recently signed into law by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
