A Dallas Police officer who was fired last summer has pleaded guilty to lying about a man striking him with a vehicle. Eric Watts, 32, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of making a false report and faces two years of probation.

Eric Watts, 32, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of making a false report and faces two years of probation. Watts also agreed to surrender his peace officer certification.

Watts had responded to a street-racing call on April 1, 2011. He reported chasing an orange Nissan and said the driver ran over his foot when he approached the vehicle.
