Fla. Motor Cop Struck By Lightning

Officer Deglys Chavarria, 27, was heading south on North Roosevelt Boulevard at Palm Avenue when he was struck by the bolt, reports the Key West Citizen.

A Key West (Fla.) Police motor patrolman remains hospitalized after being struck by lightning while waiting at a stop light on Wednesday morning.

Chavarria, who began serving the agency in 2009, complained of left-arm pain. He was alert and conscious.
